Ice cream is a pleasure. Our sweetest memories, often, include the taste and feel of cool creamy ice cream.
Pilar McGoldrick Bernard and Mariposa Ice Creamery are producing pleasurable memories filled with the richness of the San Francisco Bay Area. Using locally sourced ingredients, purchased directly from the dairy and farmer, when possible, always in season, and with sustainability as a goal, she has developed a business model with the cultural ideals and foods of our shared diversity, always at it's heart. Every flavor, from Mexican Chocolate and Irish Cream, to the spicy chai of Karmic delight, presents the lush mix and tastes of our Northern California heritage.
In addition to her food consciousness, she shares her business skills and ethics, by reaching out to young adults aging out of foster care and other people interested in more than just a job, by providing their knowledge of artisan foods and the art of ice cream production. Pilar's years in sales, working with unions, large shops and other groups, has given her the connections and outreach skills mandatory when growing a business. Her familiarity with the restaurant and food community has opened many doors for this flourishing business. Pilar is committed, talented, and dedicated to a thriving business bringing pleasure, sweet memories, and opportunity to the San Francisco Bay Area. Pilar brings sophisticated palates to Mariposa Ice Creamery.
